Introduction

Tickford has an experienced team of more than 40 people, 21 test cells and a vehicle emission laboratory. With experience ranging from 3-cylinder passenger car engines to 12-cylinder racing engines and medium-duty Diesel engines, Tickford has a proven record of delivering a wide variety of engine dynamometer programmes utilising its steady state, motoring and dynamic test cells. Typical programmes include engine mapping and calibration support, competitor engine benchmarking, alternative fuel engine development, engine hardware development, calibration programmes and performance enhancement. The facility is registered with both the VCA and TüV for witnessed testing.

A wide variety of fuels are held in bulk stock tanks including standard and alcohol-based gasoline, LPG, CNG and Diesel. Specialist fuels are supplied and run from barrels or cylinders as required.

Our qualified and experienced staff manage and execute complex projects with a range of reporting styles to match client needs, from turn-key projects to daily reporting with on-line data exchange.

The Tickford Quality Management System was one of the first in the engineering service sector to meet ISO9001 and the company has had uninterrupted accreditation since 1990. Laboratory-based activities are progressively being accredited to ISO17025:2005.
