Durability

Many of Tickford’s test cells may be used to run engine/transmission durability or catalyst ageing and evaluation programmes. In addition to the usual base engine and component durability tests, these cells may be used to run a variety of tests for engine and vehicle manufacturers as well as component and system companies

The test cells are comprehensively equipped with a competitive base level of instrumentation that is expanded as required for individual tests. All test cells feature computer control and data logging systems via CP Engineering Cadet as standard. The majority of these test beds have access to exhaust emission analysers.

Specialist test cells feature programmable eddy current dynamometers for dynamic simulation cycles and dual bank exhaust gas analysers for catalyst evaluation tests.
